{"id":118315,"date":"2013-07-15T11:30:36","date_gmt":"2013-07-15T15:30:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wpmu.org\/?p=118315"},"modified":"2013-07-14T21:45:19","modified_gmt":"2013-07-15T01:45:19","slug":"outages-posted-on-new-wordpress-status-blog","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/outages-posted-on-new-wordpress-status-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"Outages Posted on New WordPress Status Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Major disruptions to the WordPress.org network are being published on a new website announced last week.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_118318\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-ratio-3-2 wp-image-118318\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/wordpress-org-status-blog-448x301.png\" alt=\"WordPress.org Status Blog\" width=\"448\" height=\"301\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The new blog provides updates when parts of WordPress.org are offline.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Lead core developer Andrew Nacin <a title=\"Make WordPress Core\" href=\"http:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/core\/2013\/07\/11\/the-wordpress-org-support-forums-were-taken-offline\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">posted at Make WordPress Core<\/a> that <a title=\"WordPress.org Status Blog\" href=\"http:\/\/status.wordpress.org\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">status.wordpress.org<\/a> has been set up provide public updates regarding issues with the network.<\/p>\n<p>The site is hosted outside the WordPress.org environment at WordPress.com and gives users a place to go if they&#8217;re experiencing problems accessing parts of the site and want to know what&#8217;s going on.<\/p>\n<p>The new site comes after problems with the support forums last Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>In his post, Nacin said the forums were taken offline to help resolve data corruption and uptime issues with a database cluster, which had caused intermittent downtime across the WordPress.org network.
