You read the title… today we’re showing you the easiest way to make your newest WordPress post comments appear first. Here’s how it’s done:<\/p>\n

On this the first day of a new year, it only seems appropriate that we talk about things that are new and first, and not only that, but new things that are first.<\/p>\n

What we\u2019re talking about, of course, is making new comments first on your WordPress site.<\/p>\n

By default, the oldest comments on a post are placed at the top (i.e. first).<\/p>\n

If you would like to reverse that, it\u2019s easy to do (even though you might not know that by searching in Google \u2013 which seems to mostly return old, difficult, and messy solutions).<\/p>\n

Now Built In!<\/b><\/h2>\n

Yes, reversing the order that comments appear in after a post is now built into the WordPress backend.<\/p>\n

Simply go to Settings > Discussion > Other comment settings ><\/strong> then look for the pull-down menu that will let you reverse the order.<\/p>\n
