We\u2019ll start with\u2026<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"monitoring\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Easily Monitoring Site Visits, Unique Visits, and Traffic Sources<\/h2>\n<p>The Hub makes it easier than ever to monitor your site &amp; unique visits, plus traffic sources. It\u2019s all in one area and easily customizable.<\/p>\n<p>Right away, when entering the Analytics <strong>Statistics<\/strong> area, you\u2019ll get a detailed overview of all that\u2019s going on when it comes to monitoring your site.<\/p>\n<p>You can instantly get a look at site visits and individual page stats. You&#8217;re also given an overview of the number of visitors and the dates of the visits.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195765\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195765\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/analytics-dashboard-copy.png\" alt=\"Analytics dashboard.\" width=\"600\" height=\"341\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Analytics dashboard shows the essential details right away.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>From here, you can adjust however you\u2019d like to view specific information. Just click on the icon, and that will open up a new tab in your browser and take you to the actual WordPress page or post.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195768\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195768\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/open-to-page-icon.png\" alt=\"Where you click to get to the actual page.\" width=\"600\" height=\"303\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Every page and post has this icon by it.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>All the analytics are color-coded whether your numbers are up or down (red for down and green for up). It immediately displays your top pages, and if you need to see more, just click on the <strong>Show More<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195769\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195769\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/show-more.png\" alt=\"The show more button.\" width=\"600\" height=\"411\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">This will show more pages on your site.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Plus, you can always search for a page or post in the search bar.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see, by default, the analytic information for <strong>Pageviews<\/strong>, <strong>Unique Page Views<\/strong>, <strong>Average Time on Page<\/strong>, <strong>Entrance<\/strong>, <strong>Bounce Rate<\/strong>, and <strong>% Exit<\/strong> is on display.<\/p>\n<p>However, all of this can be changed by\u2026<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"customizing\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Customizing Metrics to Display What You Want<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to switch between default settings and custom metrics to display what type of analytical information you want. You can customize this from the <strong>Settings<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195809\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195809\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/settings-1.png\" alt=\"The settings tab.\" width=\"600\" height=\"153\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Settings tab is right up in the menu area.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once you click on Settings, you have the option to select the types of <strong>Metrics<\/strong> you need to display on the main statistics page.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just a matter of selecting or deselecting the various data you want in view.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195798\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195798\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/IMG-Metric-type.png\" alt=\"Metric types\" width=\"600\" height=\"350\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Once highlighted, it will display the analytic information.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You can also <strong>Deactivate<\/strong> your analytics from the Settings area. It will ask you if you\u2019re sure you want to delete it before confirming. Plus, you can always get them back if you want to.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195771\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195771\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/deactivate.png\" alt=\"The deactivate button.\" width=\"600\" height=\"210\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Clicking Deactivate will delete your analytics.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>It\u2019s as simple as that to customize your analytic information!<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"creating\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Creating White Label Client Reports<\/h2>\n<p>You can transfer raw data into valuable insights with professional-looking white label analytics reports in a matter of minutes. You have the option of sending clients basic or detailed information regarding a site\u2019s analytics.<\/p>\n<p>Like everything else we\u2019ve covered, this is all done from the Analytics dashboard under the <strong>Reports<\/strong> tab.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195772\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195772\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/reports.png\" alt=\"The reports tab.\" width=\"600\" height=\"382\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Reports tab is where to begin.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once you click on Reports, you\u2019ll see any existing reports you have (it will be empty if you don\u2019t have any). Clicking on <strong>New Report<\/strong> will get you started.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195810\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195810\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/new-report-1.png\" alt=\"Where it shows reports in the hub.\" width=\"600\" height=\"246\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">You can see I have several other reports that I\u2019ve previously created.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You\u2019ll see that you give the report a name. For this example, I\u2019m naming it \u201c<strong>Analytics<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Then you can choose the<strong> General <\/strong>information (e.g. Language). Also, you\u2019ll include the <strong>Email Content <\/strong>(e.g. Subject, Email Text, etc.).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195821\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195821\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/analytics-hub-report.png\" alt=\"Analytics hub report.\" width=\"600\" height=\"972\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Once you feel good about what you\u2019ve included, hit \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You can then pick what information to include. Since we\u2019re focusing on analytics, we\u2019ll just keep that selected for this report.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195812\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195812\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/services-1.png\" alt=\"The different services you can add to a report.\" width=\"600\" height=\"403\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">You can see I have Analytics selected, and that\u2019s all.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Create your white-labeled <strong>Cover Pages<\/strong>. Add your logo, font color, and brand color.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195776\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195776\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/cover-pages.png\" alt=\"The cover page of a report.\" width=\"600\" height=\"613\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">Design the cover and report exactly to fit your brand.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Schedule the report (or have the report run immediately), add recipients, have an opportunity to edit the sender\u2019s name, and enter the email to reply to.<\/p>\n<p>Once you have it scheduled and it goes out, your clients or users receive a detailed analytics report delivered straight to their inboxes.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195777\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195777\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/activity-report.png\" alt=\"Activity report.\" width=\"600\" height=\"523\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">An example report that I sent out.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>There is a lot you can do with reports that go beyond even analytics. For more detailed information, be sure to read our<a href=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/docs\/the-hub\/hub-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\"> documentation<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2><a name=\"analytics\" target=\"_blank\"><\/a>Viewing Analytics From Your WordPress Dashboard<\/h2>\n<p>Though the WordPress dashboard is obviously not in The Hub, it\u2019s useful to point out that you can obtain analytical information from the dashboard with our <a href=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/project\/wpmu-dev-dashboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPMU DEV plugin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s the same information provided in The Hub that\u2019s convenient to view if you\u2019re working in WordPress.<\/p>\n<p>When in WordPress, go to <strong>WPMU DEV&gt;Dashboard<\/strong>. From there, you\u2019ll see an area called <strong>Analytics<\/strong>. Plus, you can click on <strong>Top Pages &amp; Posts<\/strong> and <strong>Authors<\/strong>, to see who has been contributing to your site if you have more than one author.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_195780\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\" data-caption=\"true\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-195780\" src=\"https:\/\/wpmudev.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/analtyics-in-WordPress.png\" alt=\"Analytics in WordPress.\" width=\"600\" height=\"582\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">This example shows a timeline of the last seven days.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>You can also pick a timeline for the display of analytics and choose whether you\u2019d like the analytics to be for the full site, or a specific page or post.<\/p>\n<p>If you just want a specific page or post, once you start typing in the bar for data, a dropdown of all the titles that match your search pop-up.
