Author link doesn’t work it keeps redirect to home page.

When I click Author name it returns me to the home page instead of open his posts.

    I hope you’re well today!

    There’s currently nothing on site that could, in theory, cause such redirect but there was:

    It seems you had Yoast SEO enabled on the site. There’s an option there in the plugin to disable “Author archives” and it was set that way. If it’s “disabled” it would cause such redirect to homepage. The Yoast plugin is currently disabled but the site is heavily cached – you’re hosting with Cloudways, there’s additional cache on site and the entire site goes through CloudFlare. I believe that this got “stuck” “somewhere” in the cache on the way.

    I’ve temporarily enabled Yoast Seo (it’s disabled back) and noticed that I couldn’t even change that option to enable Author Archives (which should fix the redirect), just like the option was stuck in cache.

    I’m not much familiar with your current server management options but if there’s any cache it would be recommended to clear it up (especially if there’s any object cache) as well as all other caches – on site and in CloudFlare. If that doesn’t help, try enabling Yoast, enabling “Author Arhives” in it (on “Search Appearance” settings page) and clear all those caches again while it’s on.

    If that helps, then disable Yoast again after that if you don’t want to use it. Give it a try please and update me here about results.
