Automate failed to update core WordPress

I have Automate updates enabled but my WordPress core files aren’t updating. It says “Unknown error. Unable to decode error response.”

Hi Gene,

So sorry to hear the inconvenience. There could be different reasons for this issue. To find out exactly what happened, we need to check the debug data. Can you please login to your server, go to the root directory of your site, open the wp-config.php file and find this line:

define('WP_DEBUG', false);

Change that line to the following:
```
define('WP_DEBUG', true);
define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true);
```
Also, add the following lines in the wp-config.php file under the lines above:
```
define( 'WPMUDEV_API_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WPMUDEV_API_DEBUG_ALL', true );
```
Then please wait until Automate runs again. If it fails again, please provide us the “debug.log” file which you should be able to find inside the “wp-content” directory. The debug log will have important insight regarding this issue.
