Copy Not Displaying Correctly

As you can see the copy is shifting to the next line on the homepage, but it not for others.

Is there a way to fix this issue?

Hey there.

Try using this:
```
#wrap-top-content {

width: 100%;

}
```
Add it to your CSS, if it doesn’t work then try !important:
```
#wrap-top-content {

width: 100% !important;

}
```

I apologize but CSS and HTML are foreign to me.

I suppose you might not be using a child theme?

If not then take a look here:

It’s a way to retain small changes like CSS ones when the main code needs updating to a new version.

Anyway, if you don’t wish to mess with child themes right now then the original is here:

/blogs-mu/_inc/css/base.css

You can open that file and locate this:
```
#wrap-top-content {margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; width: auto; max-width: 960px;}
```
Then change it to this:
```
#wrap-top-content {margin: 0px auto; padding: 0px; width: 100%; max-width: 960px;}
```
If you create a child theme as described on that other link, then rather than the whole CSS in this post, you would use the CSS within my original post.

Thanks for the help. I have one last question.

I am using the Blogs MU Theme with WPMU. Where/How do I located the child theme folder or options? I am a little confused how to enable/activate the child theme option.

Its located int Blogs MU theme folder:

/blogs-mu/themes/blogs-mu-child/

You move /blogs-mu-child/ and all the files and floders in there to your WordPress themes folder.

You can then activate it like a normal theme.

Ah. Now I got it. Thanks.

I activated the child theme. Everything looked good except for the menu’s needed to be re-saved.

Is there anything else that I should look for that might not have transitioned properly?

I opened up and edited the style.css within the child theme folder.

Added:

#wrap-top-content {

width: 100% !important;

}

At the first lines of the file, but am still getting the same formatting problem.

It’s like moving from one theme to another, menus need redoing and it would also be worth looking at the wigets as well.

So this other issue….

I thought it was the container doing that on your site when I took a look…. maybe not…

Try this:

.one-community {width: 960px;}

And if that doesn’t work then this:

.one-community {width: 960px !important;}

Let me know how that goes.
