Is there a way that I can have different colors for different categories?

Yes there is!

The plugin assigns a class to each event in the calendar and list views that corresponds to the category the event is in.

Add the following to your theme’s style-sheet, then change category to the actual event category and adjust the colors:
```
.wpmudevevents-list .category {

background:#eeeeee;

color:#ff0000;

}
```
Then repeat the process for each category you want to assign custom colors to.
