Directory Plugin – The simple theme and Pro Sites integration

How does the theme component work in the directory plugin? is done through custom press?

Is there a guide for the setting up the simple theme?

Also, is there a way to integrate Pro sites (plugin) functionality in the directory plugin when it is used on a network?
