Directory Search/Categories Not Showing

Hello,

I noticed that the listings page just showed a list of new listings I created instead of showing the categories or even the search bar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Are you using the default Directory theme that comes bundled with the plugin (directory/themes/default)?

Or are you using another theme?

No, that is not the default theme that comes with the plugin.

The theme I referenced above is very different from the one you have active on your site at the moment.

With any theme other than the one that comes with the plugin, you would need to use the category shortcode. See under the “Shortcodes” of the plugin settings for more on that.

Hey Patrick,

Is there a way to activate the default theme for the listing’s page? Also, the shortcodes only list the categories in a very plain way and there’s no shortcode for the search bar.

Is there a way to only allow the “Listings” tab to appear on profiles that have signed up to use the service? I don’t want all my members to have a “Listings” tab on their profile if they aren’t able to create a listing.

Normally, you can have only one theme active on any given site. But there is a plugin that can actually help you achieve this. See this post for more:

This function added to your theme’s functions.php might work (change the access level number to the actual ID of your premium sub):

add_action( 'bp_setup_nav', 'my_remove_listings_nav' );
