Edublogs theme top menu

First off, thanks for a great service! I’m using a couple of the plugins and I’m in the process of customizing the edublogs theme for my main site.

I’ve searched and I don’t think this has been asked/answered before.

I’m trying to make pages that doesn’t show up in the top main menu. By default, they show up. The only way to NOT make them show up seems to keep them private.

I was trying to remove this line:

<?php wp_list_pages(‘title_li=’:wink:; ?>

Which will remove pages from the top menu.

I did it and tried to add new pages, like this:

This adds the link properly. The problem is that this link will not be highlighted (in blue by default) when a visitor enters the page.

The code for “Home” is:

<li id=”<?php if (is_home() && str_replace(“/”,””,$_SERVER) != ‘wp-signup.php’:wink: { ?>home<?php } else { ?>page_item<?php } ?>”>” title=”The homepage”>Home

Do I need to add a function for is_about etc? Should be an easier way, i.e. change this line:

<?php wp_list_pages(‘title_li=’:wink:; ?>

So that it lists page id 1, 2 and 3 (as an example)

I do not have an example as the site isn’t opened and I’m doing this locally until the domain names dns settings are working.

Thanks in advance.
