Events+ settings page is not displayed after update to 1.8 + others

Hi,

1. The Settings page in Events+ fails to load after update to 1.8 today.

2. How do I get the list of all events created by a user as a link with organiser name. Say If I create ten events and the visitor clicks my name in an event, it should display all 10 events created by me. How should I implement this? This can be very helpful for all.

3. The individual events have a background of lightish tint of blue. How do I remove it and also the border of the box that comes along with it?

Let me know if I can get support for this?

I just updated mine and checked the settings page and it’s displaying correctly for me with the new look :slight_smile:

I logged into your site and there is a plugin called “Usernoise” that is causing a js error, can you deactivate that plugin and see if it works correctly then?

You’re also still running WordPress 4.0, can you update that to 4.1? :slight_smile: sometimes older versions of WP can cause conflicts.

Events+ currently doesn’t support this out of the box; however, I will add it as a feature request :slight_smile:

Another option you can use in the meantime is something like this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/display-posts-shortcode/

Then adding this to post or sidebar:

[display-posts post_type="incsub_event" author="tyler"]

Use your own author name of course – but that will give you a bullet point list of the events by that author.

You can also choose to include an except as well if you like, here are all the arguments: https://github.com/billerickson/display-posts-shortcode/wiki

Perhaps adding that list at the bottom of your events as related events or something along those lines would work :slight_smile:

Add the following CSS to your custom stylesheet:

.wpmudevevents-boxinner {

background-image: none !important;

}



.wpmudevevents-box {

border: medium none !important;

}
```
If you don’t have a custom stylesheet then use this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-custom-css/

Normally we wouldn’t use the “!important” declaration; however, when overwriting styles it can sometimes be a necessary evil.

I will revert to Version 1.7. I did not face this issue there. Please provide me the link for downloading version 1.7.

I cannot upgrade to 4.1 as all other plugins and theme also need to be compatible, it may solve Events+, but the site will break. So this can be ruled out.

Click on the version number you would like to download and it will prompt you to save it :slight_smile:

The screenshot I attached is for CoursePress but will be the exact same for Events+.

There is no equivalent to that; however, you can add custom post types to that, like this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/show-all-posts-by-author-including-custom-posts-types?replies=6#post-1877505
