How to customise invite codes for specific type of user…

Hi… does anyone know a plugin or suggestion how I can setup buddypress so that only women can invite people? Also how would I allow them to invite their Facebook friends as well as by normal email?

You would need to custom code this, possibly hook into the invite system and add a conditional which checks the users gender (this would depend on whether you have asked for a gender and what the custom field name is in x-profile etc. Let me just ask one of our developers @Hoang Ngo, if he can help with this, i’ve been looking through the code for a while, but can’t figure this out myself.

As for inviting FB friends, not sure if this plugin will help, http://wordpress.org/plugins/invite-anyone/

But it’s generally not considered a good idea for spam reasons.

I presume you are using the Invite Anyone plugin:

If so, you may be able to tweak the plugin logic to only make the form features available to members who have entered their sex in an x-profile field.

Exactly how to get that done is a bit beyond my level of expertise though. If you need help with that, let me know and I’ll see if one of our 2nd-level support guys can jump in on the fun. :slight_smile:

yes – I have; invite-anyone installed – and https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-secure-invites/ + x-profile fields installed so people will have entered their gender on signup.

So any help here welcome.

Please replace the FIELD with your gender field name, and the VALUE to the value you want to show the form, example ‘girl’.
