How to hide the shortcode buttons in the dashboard

Hi Guys

My users can access some of the content in the dashboard. But they can see the shortcodes buttons beside the “Add media” button. I would really like to hide them. Is there some kind of html code or css you can use to make them disappear or a plugin. You can see what I mean on the image I have attached.

You can probably hide that using CSS…

However I’ll need access to your dashboard in order to see what that CSS will have to be!

Could you please post a link to your site so that I can create an account and see that in action?

You can try using this CSS:

div#wp-content-editor-tools a.thickbox {

display: none;

}
```

Create a new file in your wp-content/mu-plugins folder and add the following inside it:
```
<?php



function custom_admin_css_hide_shoertcodes() {

echo '<style>div#wp-content-editor-tools a.thickbox { display: none; }'

}

if( !current_user_can( 'manage_network' ) )

add_action( 'admin_head', 'custom_admin_css_hide_shoertcodes' );
```
This will add the necessary CSS for all non-superadmins.
