I have an empty appointment detail box, how do I populate this with appointments?

Welcome to the forums!

There are a couple of things to check here:

1. Be sure to add the appropriate parameter to the app_my_appointments shortcode. The following will display all available statuses, simply remove the ones you don’t want displayed:

[app_my_appointments status="paid, confirmed, pending, completed, removed, reserved"]

2. I just took a look at your site, and there appears to be an error/conflict with SimpleLightbox, either in your theme or the plugin.

Can you quickly revert to a default theme, or deactivate the plugin, then refresh your make-an-appointment page to rule that out please?

ok I think I’ve got some theme issues here. I disabled that plugin and it seemed to display the fields. It’s just a mess due to the theme. I’m afraid it’s pulling style classes from other styles that I’m using, and changing them to fit the appointments page is going to mess the site up.

Do you have some suggestions, or point me in the right direction to the actual hard coded pages to make some edits to the classes so they differ from the main site styles?

while I’ve got you… I don’t seem to be getting user notification of the appointments. Everything is marked to yes in notifications. And I’m confirming the appointment. Not sure what else I’m missing.

I just took a closer look to see where your theme CSS is conflicting. Good news, no need to edit any plugin files as it’s an easy fix. :slight_smile:

The issue stems from line 17 of your theme’s custom.css file.
```
.header {

height:338px;

}
```
All you need to do is override that style rule for the appointments tables by adding a new, more specific, rule. Add the following to your style-sheet to snap things into shape:

.my-appointments .header {

height:auto;

}
```

awesome! you’re the man. Ok so that fixed my header issue. But what can I do about the email issue where the user never gets notifications? I’m assuming it’s something simple, all my notifications are on.

Also, now that I disabled my lightbox plugin, is there anything known to fix that so I can have this plugin back?

Do other WordPress emails send all right?

Email can sometimes be a tricky issue, depending on how your server is configured. You can always install an SMTP plugin which often resolves issues like this.

For the Lightbox issue, perhaps an alternative plugin would provide more satisfactory results. These look quite simple to set up:

Thanks for the suggestions for lightbox. That worked.

The appointment email sends for the admin, just not the person making the appointment. So it seems like the wordpress email functionality is working. Or do you think the SMTP could still be an issue.

Actually, I set it so it’s auto confirmed and it sent the email. Then I changed it back and it seems to be working. Awesome! Getting this plugin to work one problem at a time. Thanks for your help.

Seems like there is only one more issue that I’m hoping is an easy fix. The next month link: http://clients.imaginetastyweb.com/BYoU doesn’t seem to be doing anything. Suggestions?
