need some help with the blue moon theme

hey guys,

I have a user that loves that theme, and there are some problems with it. I have been told by another plugi nauthor: makes unfriendly calls to its own scriptaculous and prototype libraries, instead of the global WP-installed ones, which may lead to conflicts as well. so the first question would be, can I just do that and change it to call the built in versions?

Next thing is that functions.php only contains this code:

if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') )
'before_widget' => '', // Removes <li>
'after_widget' => '', // Removes </li>
'before_title' => '<h2>', // Replaces <h2>
'after_title' => '</h2>', // Replaces </h2>

that makes the sidebar look a bit weird, so I can’t really address every part. I thought about replacing it with something like:

if ( function_exists('register_sidebar') ) {
'before_widget' => '',
'after_widget' => '</li></ul></div></div>',
'before_title' => '<div class="box-widget"><div class="widget-sidebar"><h3>',
'after_title' => '</h3><ul class="list"><li>',

any other suggestions? anyone got a working example of this theme in action?

here is the implementation I am talking about:

found this article: about widgetizing, any other handy links?

if I fix up this theme would you want a copy to include in the themepack? Or is everybody else fine just me having problems with this theme?

Also I think I’ll take out the hardcoded search from the sidebar.
