Pro Sites – adding a front end message

I would like to display a footer message for Pro Sites users, that have not paid…

“This Pro Site has X days remaining of it’s Free Trial.”

AND

“This Pro Site Free Trial has expired.”

I want to call this message via php and embed in my default pro site theme..

Is this possible?

You could try adding something to the global footer plugin that calls the trial_notice function in pro-sites.php

for me it on line 357

Added the above code to functions.php

called both trial_function () and echo trial function from the footer and I displays nothing.

Any ideas as to why it is not outputting?

I have no comment on the custom coding but perhaps “D” may pop back in here and give you a clue as to what the possible malfunction of your function may be.

Not at the mo, but was thinking you might be able to hunt down the code snippit that displays the notice in the dashboard and copy that, I wouldn’t know where to start looking for that though :S

Personally I love the idea of these two features you suggested, and just possibly I might be able to get the lead developer of Pro Sites to offer either a clue or code snippet to how we can accomplish or let us know if I should send this to feature requests.

This may take longer then a normal ticket, but I hope to get our lead developer with his invaluable advice in here asap.
