Question about Subscribe by Email plugin: Can it send email if user only posts a product in marketpr

I’d like people to be able to subscribe to a sub site store on my multisite network and be notified when a seller posts a new product. Can this plugin do that or be modified to do that? I activated plugin and did a test product post and did not receive an email notification after subscribing.
