Urgent : You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page

Hi,

I installed and setup defender but now I am unable to access wp-admin or wp-login.

Kindly help?

This happened after some .htaccess addition and after table prefix I guess.

Please update the yourpassword with your secret password, and those

$old_prefix = 'wp_';

$prefix     = 'your_new_prefix_here';.

Then, access it by http://domain.com/?defender=yourpassword

It should fix the admin permission. After that please remove the code, and check in your wp-config, if the $table_prefix is right.

Please note that, a database backup before that is very important.

Hey Hoang,

Tried this way, doesn’t seem to work though. I am confused about the password, maybe I don’t remember but I tried a few I had in mind. I don’t quite get it. is there any other way we can do this?

Unfortunately I don’t have a backup so this is a dead end to me. Any way to roll back changes?

I guess the module change db prefix, need more time to run on your site :slight_frown:.

Also, the reason why your code not work, is because the forum parsed it, append the text <code ></ code>, instead of `.

I only replace that, run again and it works :slight_smile:
