MarketPress Basic Questions for downloadable Products

hi there,

if i set up a new product i see a field for “download link”.

but this link doesnt show up anywhere, after i completed my test-order.

My order just ends after i gave my payment details, then it says

“Thank you for your order! We appreciate your business, and please come back often to check out our new products.

You may track the latest status of your order(s) here:

http://yourmedia.at/adonis/store/order-status//

and thats it. where is the download link? rspctv – where do i specify this?

all the other settings work fine. i just totally miss the settings for downloadable products.

also security options are missing!

Thanks for help

Hi yourmedia_at and first off, welcome to WPMU DEV!

The download will be available for users after purchase from the Order Status page as follows, and also directly through a link provided via email.

    yourdomain.com/store/order-status/

The order would have to be marked as shipped and paid in order for the download to be available though so if you’re using the Manual Payments gateway, you’d have to manually mark the order as paid.

For that matter, could you let us know which gateway(s) you’re using?

And have you checked the Order Status page for the downloads?

    Thanks,

    David

hi! many thx, now i understand. the download link came via email and worked fine – after i updated the status.

i just used manual checkout btw, it was really just for a test purpose.

i actually tried also with paypal but was unable to get the paypal api from my account… maybe you have some advise according to this? found this instructions-link in the store-settings, but i would need a translation for a noob

    Hiya yourmedia_at,

Just checking if it was eventually resolved in another thread? Or by yourself separately to us? Or by us over email with you? Or using our live support?

If so, no need to reply, that’s great news.

If not, could you let us know by re-opening this topic, and we’ll get onto it and helping you out asap!

Otherwise, happy days, glad you got it sorted  Setting up the PayPal API can be tricky first time around.

    Thanks!
