BuddyPress Forum showing different pages

Hello

While setting up BuddyPress I came across this issue…the forum page is not showing up….when I am accessing it from Admin panel the new page displays this message

"Access to the webpage was denied

You are not authorized to access the webpage at http://moretique.com/bp-forums-2/. You may need to sign in.

HTTP Error 403 (Forbidden): The server refused to fulfill the request."

And when accessing from website Moretique.com>Community>Forums…..it shows "page not found"…please see the screenshot

Why is it keep showing "http://moretique.com/bp-forums-2/" instead of "http://moretique.com/forums/" like other pages?

How can I correct it? Should I reinstall BP?

    Greetings M.O.R.E.,

    In review of the symptoms and the URL’s submitted it is probable that a re-install would be the sure cure to resolve these issues.

    The two URL’s show a definite problem and what worries me is the number 2 at the end of the “http://moretique.com/bp-forums-2/” which may indicate a failed install or possibly a second install after the first failed for the bp forums section.

    In the event of a re-install I recommend going straight after the forums to see if they are working, of course after careful configuration.

    Thanks Joe. I removed BuddyPress as suggested…reinstalled but nothing happened…..I tried to install network-wide forum and it downloaded BB-press….but no use…..the admin>setting>forums now showing a red colored message “Possible BuddyPress conflict: Forum page” under the Single Slug’s FORUM SLUG box and also the Forum sub-menu under COMMUNITY (main site) is also disappeared.

    When I am clicking on the Forum link (view page) here …/wp-admin/network/admin.php?page=bp-page-settings it takes me to the home page whereas the url is showing the correct page url when I point mouse on “view page” (http://moretique.com/forum/)

    What/where am I doing wrong?

    Hi

    I deactivated BBpress….selected the existing installation option….mentioned the location of config file…now the FORUM is visible as a sub-menu (Moretique.com>Community>Forums) but it says Page Not Found upon clicking

    What I fail to understand is why the Permalink keeps showing http://moretique.com/forums-2/ ?the moment I add “s” to Forum (page title)……how should I resolve this possible conflict?

    Someone please tell me what should I do…It seems whatever I’m doing is not giving any desired result.Deactivated my child theme…reactivated Gridmarket theme…removed and re installed BuddyPress all over again but still it shows the message

    Is it something in framemarket that is causing all this?

    Somehow this ticket got marked as resolved when it is in fact not resolved. I have taken the liberty to mark it as unresolved so it shall not be overlooked.

    Please give us a re-cap of where we are now with your issue considering the changes/updates that have been made. We do want to get this sorted out for you asap.

    Okay…..I was wondering why nobody is answering anyways, the thing is

    Before installing BuddyPress I activated (just activated not configured) the WPMU Forum Plugin and after installing BuddyPress site-wide when it started showing some issues…I deleted and deactivated all plugins (as you had suggested) and started all over again…but it kept on showing [forum:2] in the Forum Page (it appeared automatically) as well as URL (…moretique.com/forum-2) ….then I again deleted and reinstalled BB. This time going by this tutorial http://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/

    Now the situation as it is now, when I click on the Menu Item “Discuss” (http://moretique.com/discuss/) it shows me the correct page. But when I click on Moretique.Com>Community>Forum (http://moretique.com/forums/) it shows this message…

    Neither the Forum nor the Blog sub-menus are working….just let me know how do I…

    a) correct the problem

    b) how do I integrate the Post section with BB blog or

    b) delete the sub-menus (Forum & Blog) appearing within Community

    Because I want to keep my site simple…Home (static page), Buy (global store), Sell (static page), Boutiques (auto generated sections), Community (member’s area using BB)

    Please guide me what I should be doing….
