PPV don't appear by the schortcode

Hi!

I just bought the PPV plugin, and I hope it will be a good solution for my website. I just installed it, pasted the paypal API code, and enabled it.

I have a problem tough, when I use the shortcode in my post, nothing happens. It’s just as it were before.

Is there any typical problems with a fresh installment like this? Maybe some delay before the paypal API-signature works or something?

Any help with be gratefull appriciated.

Best regards,

Håkon

    Hiya Håkon,

First off, welcome to WPMU DEV!

Sorry to hear you’re having some trouble right off the bat, that’s no fun. Could you give us a link to a post that has the shortcode in it so we could take a look?

I haven’t heard of this happening before, but if we can get a look at what’s going on I’m sure we can get it sorted.

    Thanks!

    Hiya Håkon,

Thanks for the link. I see that the page simply refreshes rather than taking you to paypal.

On my own setup, things are working properly. Can you tell me (or provide screenshots) of how you have the “global” pay per view rules set and also how they are set in that post? Did you use the selection tool?

Thanks. If I can’t find something odd in your settings I’ll have to ask the developer to take a look here.

    Allright!

Gues we’re one step closer to the solution now. I overlooked an important point. The “admin can see all content” was set to “yes”. When I set it to “no”, the button appeared. Doh!

Now I get this message when pressing the button:

There was a problem connecting to PayPal to setup your purchase. Please try again.

10002 – Security error – Security header is not valid

Do you know what this means?

    Thanks for your help!

Woohoo! Well, that explains why I was seeing the button at least!

Most of the time (let’s go with 95% for my made up statistic), this means that the API information from PayPal was entered in incorrectly or you’re attempting to use sandbox credentials on a live site.

It’s normally one of those two. Make sure you have the live credentials and try copy/pasting again. Let us know how it goes.

    Thanks!
