More Paypal issues with PPV

Hi

Having problems completing any transactions using PPV. The first button just refreshes the post and gave this error msg at the end of the post:

There was a problem connecting to PayPal to setup your purchase. Please try again.

10002 – Security error – Security header is not valid

The other two buttons connects to paypal but once I enter the sandbox p/w it gave the following error on paypal:

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.

I read somewhere that I should test it with a Live setting but I’m really not sure how to do this without incurring any cost on my part.

    Greetings kamarul,

    Thank you for bringing this significant issue to our attention.

    It is true that the PayPal sandbox is so erratic and unpredictable it is not a good gauge of the working order of your site/application.

    If you set it to live mode you will not receive and charges unless you put in your PayPal user name and password at the PayPal screen, but you are not getting that far at this moment so this is a moot point.

    Lets get you going that far and then make a test with the price set at 30 cents which is well worth the test is it not?

    So please set it up for live mode and let me know how you make out from there and if you can get to the PayPal screen that wants to take your money on PayPal.

    Please advise.

    Hi aecnu,

    Thank you very much for your reply and help. I switched to Live, changed the price to RM0.20, clicked the first button and it worked like a charm, although being on live meant that I had to set up a separate account using the wife’s details, an exercise which I have been delaying for obvious reasons.

    Just curious though, how long do I have till the ‘window’ closes again for the first button? It cant be the whole day coz that’s being taken care of by another sales function.

    Anyway, thank you for a great plugin and an equally great support rendered. May you and your team excel further in years to come.
