Infinite SEO and Woocommerce

Hi,

I use woocommerce with infinite SEO.

It works perfect but I can not change Title tag, Meta description and keywords for only 1 page.

This page is the root of the shop (catalog) ==> .

http://www.epicurieuse.be/boutique

I change all the tags for this page but it doesn’t appear online ?

Any idea ?

Yes i did it in the infinite SEO box but it doesn’t show it online :slight_frown:

You’ll find their answer.

It’s a Custom Post Type Archive (for products). I know WordPress SEO plugin supports adding meta to cpt archives but I’m not sure about the one your using. Take a look through its settings.

Yes, we’re still alive here :slight_smile: But have been having a bit of difficulty lately being alerted to new posts (all should be well now though, sorry for the delay).

The attached screenshot shows the “Title & Meta” settings page for a my test site which has several plugins enabled that use custom post types.

As you can see, there are possible entries for all CPT category pages (events, wikis, products can be seen).

So, you should see an area in your settings for the “Products” CPT created by WooCommerce.

No, i can not make infinite SEO working with woocommerce for some pages.

I configure a page for my woocommerce products page called “boutique” in french.

I fill all information in Inifinite SEO (see attached print screen).

Those informatione are not in the page http://www.epicurieuse.be/boutique

How to solve this ?

I took a look and you’re right, Infinite SEO is not able to override the shopping page within WooCommerce. I’m not sure if the WooCommerce plugin is dictating the title output and thus stopping Infinite SEO from working or whether it’s something else.

I’ll ask the developer if he has any ideas here, but unfortunately it’s tricky to support perfect integration with all 3rd party products. Thanks.

The problem was that WooCommerce shop page was disguising itself as archive page, while being an actual page. The latest plugin release (v1.5.4, just released) will try to recognize this kind of condition and apply your settings accordingly.

I’m having the same problem;

The Infinite SEO title metas are conflicting with Woocommerce. Changing them in the post editing window or setting defaults in the infinite SEO settings area has no effect at all.

Please help!

If I disable the plugin the titles come out properly.

Woocommerce Version 2.0.8

Infinite SEO Version 1.5.4

**Hacked a fix…**

Looked like the method wds_title in wds-onpage.php was pulling the wrong post ID for woocommerce product pages. I replaced the conditional on line 90 with
```
if ( is_singular() ) {

$post = get_post ( $wp_query->queried_object_id );

}
```
And seems to be working fine. Hope we can get a proper fix for this soon :slight_smile:
