Category management

I am looking for a plug-in that will manage categories, for example, this site has various categories, with submenus etc.

The site also enables you in the drop-down menus, the option to sort by manufacturer, I realise that this is probably quite complicated, but just wondered if such a plug-in has been developed.

    You should be able to accomplish most (if not all) of what it seems like you want to accomplish simply using the built-in category management in WordPress. Just make sure that you setup hierarchies and mark each post appropriately.

    For instance, you could have a “Manufacturers” category and a subcategory for each manufacturer. This would allow you to manipulate your content based on the categories.
