Make Coupon invalid for Some items

0

Hi, have a site here http://www.officialsportsmemorabilia.com.au/

We have added details to add coupons in on a large number of items.

example freeshipping35 & freeshipping53 these each represent the dollar figure to remove the cost of shipping.

My dilema is visitors can take a code, eg. freeshipping53 and add this to a product that has a lower priced shipping or free shipping and cheat the process, The site owner wil have to call to get the extra money for shipping.

How can a coupon be applied to a specific product?

Also, if 2 products are added to cart, and both have a code to remove shipping cost, how can this be done?

Warmest Regards

Ian

    Hi there Ian,

I hope you are well today, I’ve just been looking into this and you are correct, a user can cheat the system and still apply the coupon if it’s got free shipping.

I’m afraid currently MarketPress doesn’t have a way to limit the coupon use on a product by product basis, With regards to the coupon for removing shipping, if you’ve got two products with coupons and both need to be applied correct?

Shipping which shipping module are you using?

Thank you, I’ll also notify the lead developer of the coupon cheat with free shipping.

    Kind Regards

    Jack.

HI Jack, I’m just using Flat rate, all the others don’t seem to suit these particular needs.

I hope this is a worthy feature to add shortly. I’m sure I’m not the 1st to encounter it.
