WP Mandrill + BuddyPress – bbPress Group Forums

My issue is pretty much described in the above thread. MC_Will (plugin author) of WP Mandrill hasn’t been able to help much.

What he’s describing doesn’t seem too hard, but I’m not much of a developer myself though. Would someone be able to help me out with this? I don’t have budget for custom coding or using WPMU Jobs at the moment and especially not for something as trivial as this. Any help is really appreciated.

UPDATE: If I get a true solution out of this and it’s all working for me, I’ll provide some rep. points to the individual who helps me out!

    Thanks for posting on the forums.

    Even I am not familiar with that plugin and not a developer as well so I am not 100% sure of the right direction on this however I have kept this thread open so that other members of the community can chime in and help out with the code for you.

    I will also keep on searching and discuss this internally with my colleagues to see what would be the best way to achieve it !

    Just to make sure, is your issue pretty much the same or exactly the same ? A description of what you want to do in your words would be helpful for anyone who tries to help you out here.

    Sorry for poor wording in original question. My issue is exactly the same. almost as if I started that thread on the wordpress.org forums… :slight_smile:

    Hello again @signed_up, I hope you’re well today!

    What troubles me is that I too am using bbPress + BuddyPress + Mandrill on one of my sites and never had this issue!

    However I am not on WP-Engine, so this might have something to do with your host.

    BUT I thought of an alternative way to do this…

    Mandrill has the ability to work via SMTP.

    So instead of using the WPMandrill plugin, you could use this plugin instead and configure it with the SMTP credentials that you can get from your mandrill account: http://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/
