Where am I in regards to the manual? What step am I on?

Can you look at soundzips.com and tell me if I have a theme installed? I’m trying to follow the manual. I’m trying to upload the theme that I downloaded from wpmudev.org, but there are already php files in my hosting server. This is on a fresh install and brand new set up. Should I override again with your theme files and can I use the godaddy FTP service that resides inside godaddy control panel?

    Hello there

    Greetings and thanks for posting on the forums.

    I checked your website and see that the theme is there but its the default WordPress 2014 theme.

    So, if you have already uploaded the theme which you downloaded, you will need to activate that theme to make it work on your site.

    You are here in the manual : https://wpmudev.com/manuals/wordpress-plugins-themes/

    So you now need to follow the steps to install the themes and activate them on your site.

    Can you kindly check and see if that helps ? I am around in case you need any help.

    Cheers, PC

    @soundzips:

    WordPress comes loaded with about two or three default themes that will appear in the wp-content/themes folder, so you will have one of the default themes loaded off the bat.

    You’re supposed to have some PHP files in your installation, since that’s your WordPress software installation. :o)

    The best way to install and activate a theme from WPMU is to first install and activate the WPMU Dev Dashboard.

    Once you install and activate, and then log into, the WPMU Dev Dashboard, you can install and activate any of the WPMU products [plugins and themes] right from your WordPress backend.

    If you need some help with all that, please let me know. I’m happy to help out.
