I wondered if you guys could help me, as I’ve spent hours over several days on trying to get this bit of functionality working on a site I’m working on. We’ve tried many solutions that should work on the web already, but without luck – so please don’t post a link to something that should work, as my hours of Googling and trying of solutions is now exhausted.
We are using BuddyPress 1.9.2, but have also tried the 2.0 beta and 1.8 and 1.7 to try and get this working.
We have several custom posts types, and we would like them to appear in the activity feed for users when a new custom post is added. We would also like comments to appear in the feed if the custom post type is commented on.
We’re still not sure how to get blog comments appearing in the feed, so there must be something fundamentally wrong as this is out of the box. Can someone please point us in the right direction, as we’re beginning to pull our hair out.
We’ve disabled all other plugins and custom themes, and tried it on a fresh install before anyone asks. I’ve tried the process of elimination multiple times. Just can’t find a function that works with CPT and BuddyPress, shame it isn’t native to BuddyPress although I know they are working on it for maybe v2.1.
Ideally need a BuddyPress guru to pull the code, and sort us out so we can finish the website :slight_smile:
