e-Newsletter Custom Themes not detecting in wp-content/uploads

So I just got e-Newsletter up and running and I wish to make a custom theme for a clients website.

I did everything the instructions told me to do but the theme doesn’t appear in the theme selection part of the creation tool.

I have a the plugin activated on a single blog on my multisite network. So I created the folder wp-content/uploads/917/enewsletter-custom-themes and added a copy of the theme I want to modify to the folder and renamed the style.css etc.

However it does not detect when I go to select it from the creation tool.

Is there anything else I need to do? I can’t see anything in the settings. And the folder permissions are set to 755.

    Hey @Jamin

Unfortunately i can’t reproduce this problem..

Can you send me admin login/ftp details by sending an email using our secure contact form on https://wpmudev.com/contact/

    – Select “I have a different question” from the dropdown

    – On the subject enter “Attn: Mariusz Misiek”.

    – Include the URL of this post in your message so that I may track this issue better

    – Include a link to your website

    – Include your admin credentials (username + password) + ftp access details

    Thanks,

    Maniu

Sorry mate I’m not comfortable with anyone going through files on my server.

I have had a support person completely mess up my entire network of nearly 1000 sites, mostly very busy eCommerce sites. I ended up getting a huuuuuge compensation from them for loss of business and I swore never to give them out again.

I would prefer it if you could walk me through what you would do yourself.

Not to mention that if the site in question were to break again the widgets will remove themselves from their allocated areas and took me about 2 hours just to set up that again.

    Hey @Jamin

I understand your concerns. Unfortunately as i am not able to reproduce it, i am lacking ideas on how to fix it.

You can try to add theme inside newsletter folder at “e-newsletteremail-newsletter-filestemplates” i don’t see a reason for it to break this way(if the folder name is different and theme name inside style.css) but keep in mind that you would need to upload your theme each time after updating plugin.

Alternatively, you could share with me some kind of test env so we can mess with it. PS did you try doing the same on this server but different wp installation?

    Thanks,

    Maniu

    Hi @jamin,

Sure, you can go to the project page here https://wpmudev.com/project/e-newsletter/

Then click changelog in the right column which will open a list showing changes in all versions.

The version you want will download when you click the version number (in blue) See screenshot.

However, this could present a risk to your site and as previous versions will not work properly with wordpress 3.9 or later, you will most likely have issues too.

We would much prefer to try & figure out why you are having this issue.

Could you send me your custom theme template that you are using, so I can try it on my site?

Can you send the theme in zipped format using the following contact form (select i have a different question from the dropdown.)
