Hi this is for the domain mapping plugin. (The ‘select plugin’ drop down menu wasn’t working)
Could you help with a basic question? I’m new to domain mapping and am slowly learning the ropes. My question is about IP addresses from my host, and which ones to tell my client to input into their DNS Zone settings.
I have Bluehost VPS and purchased a dedicated IP. When I put this into my browser, it goes to my site. No problem there. Next if I check my ‘Server’ tab, I can see under the ‘Server’ tab, ‘Server IPs’ that my dedicated IP address is listed first, then under that, there’s another one called ‘reserved’. I might have set that up fumbling around in there before…can’t remember lol.
So when I tell my clients which IP to put into their DNS settings, do I just give them my one, dedicated IP address? In some other tutorials I’ve seen instructions saying they should put in more than one, up to ‘three’ IP addresses. This made me think I’m missing something since I don’t have three IP addresses. Thanks.
