multisite content sync from one to many

Hi

I have to say that the tools and content available here are superb.

I intend to use multisite to provision a little website for few suburbs displaying our services for the respective area (all areas have same services – no difference whatsoever)

i am trying to set up a MAIN site where i add the desired pages and content and then SYNC to the other sites.. (all good in theory)

for some reason when i COPY the content to another site – it does what it is supposed to.. (it Copy) but i really need Sync not Copy as if Copy used it will add pages to recipient sites not overwrite the existent ones from recipient websites..

i am sure it is possible but i did not figure it out how..

    Before I give any suggestions I just want to make sure I have the situation right.

    1. You have several sites that all have the EXACT same content

    2. You want to publish on one of them and let it sync that post to all other sites so you don’t have to go to each individual site to copy/paste/publish yourself?

    3. You will be adding regular content

    Let me know if this is the situation you are in!

    i would prefer to go by Static pages not by posts..

    1 yes all sites exact ly the same except subdomain name

    Example

    suburb1.domain.com

    sub2.domain.com

    each website will be identical except site title

    suburb1.domain.com – site title suburb 1

    sub2.domain.com – site title suburb 2 (not sure if i can have different slogans for each)

    each site will have same menu and pages pointing to as the main cloned one.

    that is not very hard to achieve you guys provide the tools to clone them by COPY

    the problem i have is once copied, let’s say next day i need to modify some content on a page and sync it.. there is no sync only COPY (but this function will create another page on cloned websites not editing the OLD one)

    Hey again Isaia,

    Thanks for clarifying that! I fully understand what you’re after now.

    Unfortunately, this feature isn’t included in Multsite Content Copier as of yet. This would take some custom coding I would presume. I don’t know of any plugins that will do it; however, I will keep my eyes out.

    I know this plugin would likely help in the process: https://wpmudev.com/project/post-indexer/

    It brings all the posts together in one spot. You would need something else to go with it though. I will call in second line support(the coding gurus) for you and we’ll see if they can cook up anything.

    In the mean time, let us know if you find anything that works for ya! I’ll keep an eye out for a solution.
