Marketpress theme – more themes or customization

Hey there,

I’m trying to make a Etsy type of website and I’ve installed all the needed plugins.

Now there’s one thing. I’m a little bit disappointed with the available themes. I have installed the gridmarket theme but in my opinion it’s limited. I’m looking for a theme with a masonry style of showing the products. Does anyone know if there’s a theme available that works with marketpress or a way to upgrade the gridmarket theme?

    Hi,

    Currently we don’t have any themes like that. We are currently working on a brand new theme framework which is due for release soon, but I can’t give an ETA as of yet.

    The grid market theme is a child theme, as such, you can customize it by editing all the templates, however, if you aren’t a developer it could be rather complicated, so you might need to hire a developer if you wish to go down that route.     thanks for your quick reply. Will that theme framework work on marketpress? And can you be a little bit more specific when it comes to “soon.” Does soon mean with a few weeks or months?

    Hi,

    The new theme will work with marketpress yes, however, I can’t give an ETA. We’re hoping it will be released by end of september, but nothing is guaranteed, it all depends on how the bug testing goes Once we have the Beta release to play with.

    The marketpress pro theme i linked you to, will work with marketpress, and also adds a few extra features too.
