Time reserved on Google Calendar not affecting Dummy's calendar

Hello Team

Per your guidance previously, I set up a “regular” and “dummy” user to reflect 2 sets of calendars.

picturechesttinytoes.com/make-an-appointment

So far, these 2 calendars do not overlap, i.e.

For Photoshoots ~ availability is from Friday to Sun

For Consultations ~ availability is from Wed to Thur

When I blocked out a certain date range in Google Calendar, which I believe these 2 calendars are supposed to be tied to, the blocks show up when I select Photoshoot, but not Consultation.

I tried figuring out but was unable to do so thus far.

Can you help me?

    Hey there, William!

If I’m understanding you correctly, blocking off the available times from Google Calendar worked for one of your services, but not the other, correct? That’s what I see. The default service seems to have the times blocked off, but the consultation service does not.

Are appointments for that service importing to GCal correctly, or is that connection failing in both directions? Can you try blocking off the dates via Exceptions in your Appointments + settings and see if it’s reflected on your Gcal?

    Thanks!

    Hi Michelle

    Your observations are indeed correct!

The synchronization is currently set to go both directions to a single google calendar. Appointment booked via the plugin is transferring to google correctly and vice versa.

For the consultation service, I haven’t tried booking via the plugin yet. Will try.

    Hey William,

Hope you’re doing well today and thanks for your question!

Do you mind granting support access so we can take a closer look at your settings?

I notice you have support access for your staging site but it doesn’t have apps+ setup.

Has the appointment started when you notice the slot is still open for another provider? Or is it just all the time that the slot is open. The reason I ask is because we had an issue with that in the past.

As Michelle mentioned, another good workaround here would be to use the built in exceptions, as it was put their for this exact type of purpose

Let us know how that goes for you!

    All the best,

    Tyler

    Hey William,

Thanks  When I visited it earlier, Appointments+ wasn’t activated and I wasn’t sure whether you wanted me to activate it or not, sorry for the delay!

I checked it again and see that you have 3 Gcal appointments reservered Dec 13th, and 2 on the 6th. There doesn’t appear to be any booking times available on either of those days for the consultation, so I can’t see the issue you’re having.

Look forward to hearing back William! Talk to you soon.

    Cheers,

    Tyler

    Hi Tyler

    No worries at all!

I have reserved through Google calendar, dates from 12/22/14 through 1/12/15 to be “blocked”. These blocks are correctly reflected on the Photoshoot calendar but not on the Consultation calendar.

I am just wondering if this is a configuration error/issue?

    Hey William!

It looks like the access token went bad, so I’m unable to log back in. If you can revoke and re-issue that, it would be awesome.

And while you’re doing that, what kind of results did you see when you used exceptions on the WP end? I’m hoping to determine whether the issue is with just sending info from Gcal to WP, or if there’s also an issue sending info from WP to Gcal.

    Thanks!

    Hey William,

Thanks for granting that access

Since you have 2 providers, this would be the default behaviour, what you might want to do that I think could be a workaround in this case, is set up the calendars for each user so it will be synced over for both of them.

Let me know if this will do the trick for you

    Look forward to hearing back.

    Cheers,
