is upfront theme integrated with woocommerce products (or custom post types)

Hi. I’m looking into using upfront as a codebase for a redesign of a site using woocommerce. I have played with the upfront demos and they let you drag a list of posts or a form, etc. Can you drag a list of “products” or any other custom post type? if not, do you have to create a page template and do it that way?

Thanks

Hey @vrobidev, hope you're doing well today!

As a matter of fact, yes!

You would still use the Posts element, but you would want to set "How to display post(s):" to the "Post(s) by Taxonomy" option, and choose the "Products" post type from there (see 1st screenshot below).

Now, here's a trick that you'll find useful. If you click on the "Post Parts" menu, you'll see a list of options that you can enable/disable (see 2nd screenshot below), so you can do things like:

    – remove the post date

    – show which categories a product belongs to

    – hide the name of the author

You can also re-arrange the post information from there as well.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind Regards,

    Michael

I have a site with custom posts. Would I be able to display those custom posts and/or their custom fields into image sliders for example? Is search also built into upfront such that a specific page could display posts that have a specific string in a custom field?

    thx
