Protected content payment gateway button.

Hey guys,

I seem to be missing my “pay now” button or whatever it is that would take my to the actual paypal gateway after registering for one of the memberships/subscriptions on my site.

If you visit http://projectroto.com/register/ and “signup” for any of the offered memberships, you are directed to another /register but with fields to create your account – https://api.monosnap.com/rpc/file/download?id=tiOfVnQ5LVfgjpiD9FiDzEgU20hYgR

Once you do this, you are redirected to another /register – https://api.monosnap.com/rpc/file/download?id=xLsGfIuvPzPO2Q07J4xCoeufWPRuet

All of this seems perfect and all of the /register url seem to have different arguments etc…

the issue is that there is no actual button to take you to the payment gateway to actually pay for the subscription.

I worked with Michael Bisset for a little today in the live support but we were not able to get it figure out. I have de activated every plugin and set the theme to twentyfifteen as well. Still no button.

A few things to note:

I have a staging/dev environment here – http://projectr.staging.wpengine.com/

The live site is here – http://projectroto.com

I have enabled the support option for both of them and feel free to do WHATEVER you want in the staging/dev environment. However, the other one is a live environment but traffic usually dies down a lot after 9/10 eastern time (so feel free to make some minor changes to that one as well.

Let me know how else I can help. This one seems to be a weird one.

    Hi Hodge,

I hope you are well today and thanks for posting on the forum.

So i have a quick question for you.. What happens when you click on the “Pay now” button displayed in your shared screenshot?

    Please advise.

    Kind Regards,

lol…. I must have done something to fix it and then when I went to go take the screenshot I didnt even see it. Long day I guess, ahaha.

I do have another question/issue though.

Now that the button is there, the payment doesn’t seem to actually get billed? It just says pending. Here is a link to a screencast that might help better show the issue.

To touch on this issue a little bite more…. It is not assigning proper access to the user once it is created. Maybe this is related because it still says “complete payment”.

This was a brand new user I created as well and verified that the payment was sent from my account and received at the business account (clients accounts) as well.

Sorry to be that pain in the ass customer on this one I am just totally confused by this one.

    Cheers,

    Hodge

    Hi Hodge,

Have you tried clicking on the complete payment button to complete the payment?

Also would you mind if I logged in to your site and did some troubleshooting? This might help get to the bottom of this faster. If this is ok, just grant me temporary admin access to your site by clicking “Grant Access” button in the WPMU DEV Dashboard Settings as described on the following page and reply on this thread after granting it?

    Hi Vinod.

I have enabled the support access. Also, clicking on the complete payment simply redirects me back to the paypal page to login and pay again… but I have already sent payment (confirmed that it left my account and was sent to the other paypal account.

    Hey Ryan,

    Hope you're doing well today!

Do you have the IPN set in the PayPal account you're using? The IPN url will be this:

yourdomain.com/ms-payment-return/paypalstandard – I've attached a screenshot of where to find it.

As for where to enter it, you can go to PayPal and:

My overview > History > IPN History. You can turn it on there if it's not already on. If it is already on then let us know what the status codes are for the latest notifications

    All the best,

    Tyler

PS. Would you mind re-granting support access again too?

    Hi Tyler,

I double checked my paypal settings, and it does look like the IPN is set up. I am getting payments with out any issues, but it is still not automatically assigning the user the proper access for the account they are signing up with.

I attached a screenshot of the IPN page and I have enabled support access again as well. Thanks for all the work on this guys!

    Hello @Ryan

I hope you are well today.

Would you please deactivate IPN in Paypal and reactivate it? I can’t confirm but the same things happened for a member and reactivating solved the issue for him.

Also, please make sure you have set correct IPN. There should not be any space (blank space) before and after the URL.

And which payment gateway you are using? What’s about the membership? Is it recurring or one time?

    Please let us know.

    Cheers

    Ash

Bahhaahhahaha! Tyler! As usual, I was making a mistake. the URL was entered in incorrectly. I switched it and the access levels are now auto assigning with NO issues at all. Thanks for all the support through this entire process man!
