Domain Mapping Not Working With My Hosting Comapny

i have in stalled the domain mapping plugin and this is the first time using my new hosting company, but its no like when i was using the older cpanel hosting set up… this is a cloud hosting company.

the primary domain is worlddigitalx.com, i have built a site in a sub folder(not sub-domain) . it is called wdsuccessfactory.com, and it tells me to add an a record to 192.96.210.11 i did over two days ago and i still cant get the domain mapping plugin to accept it. this domain is on the same server as the primary domain.. a cloud hosting

i also have another site called worlddigitalhosting.com which im trying to point it to the same primary domain worlddigitalx.com/wdhosting with the domain mapping tool and nothing as well, now this domain is on my hostgator account and i added the a record to this domain over two days ago… and when i try to add the domain(worlddigitalhosting.com) the screen goes blank. and nothing happens..

im at a total loss, and i was helping you guys at WPMU could shed some light on this issue…

i have granted support access to these sites as well

    Hi Salem

Hope you have a great day

I see your site doesn’t have any Domain Mapping records available. That’s mean you haven’t mapped your subsite to some primary domain.

You can follow this steps to map your subsite to primary domain.

    1. Go to your subsite Dashboard for ex : worlddigitalx.com/wdsuccessfactory/wp-admin

    2. Go To Tools – Domain Mapping

    3. Add your primary domain in “Map new domain”

    4. Click “Map Domain”

Your subsite should be mapped to primary domain now

Let me know if you need any help

    Best Regards

    Hey Salem,

Thanks for your reply. The issue here is that your server IP doesn’t have it’s document root set to the root of your WP install. I can see it’s going to a cloud control splash page instead. Is it a dedicated IP?

If the document root was set properly for domain mapping then you should be seeing your WP install when you visit your IP directly.

If you’re unsure how to change your document root then contact your host as they should be able to change it easily

After you get that fixed try mapping a domain again.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,

    Tyler

PS. I turned off your “Verify DNS” setting as depending on the server it might not be able to verify it correctly. So just in-case we’lll leave it off to make sure we get an accurate result when you try to map again.

    Hi Salem

You can ask your hosting if you got your dedicated IP for your worlddigitalx.com or not ? If they say yes, than ask why when we enter the IP address, it’s not load worlddigitalx.com but Cloud Control instead.

If they say no, you need to add dedicated IP to your website package  Usually it comes from separated packages if you use shared hosting

Is there any questions else ?

    Best Regards
