i have a issue with the plugin … I have two rdv

Hello, i have a issue with the plugin …

I have two rdv at the same time in the Google Calendar where should only be one. This happens only if the client books, beacause I always need to confirm, then the rdv is shown double … for some reason.

Can you help me to fix this ?

Best regards

    Hey Gilles,

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

Could you please let me know about the following:

    – was it this way from the beginning or did it started to happen just recently (e.g. after update)?

    – have you made any changes to your site recently?

    – are you getting double appointments booked on “Appointments” -> “Appointments” page or is it just a matter of GCal?

    – are you or your users getting double confirmation e-mails?

    – are you using any caching plugins on your site (e.g. W3 Total Cache)?

    Please advise!

It would be also great if you could grant me an access to your site so I could take a closer look at your setup. To do this please follow this guide:

    Hello Gilles!

I’m sorry for another delay. I’ve checked your site and its settings, it took a while because I wasn’t able to replicate this behavior on my own site; furthermore I wasn’t able to access your GCalc because of Google’s “account hijacking prevention” (security verification), therefore I wasn’t able to test this fully on your site.

However, I’ve finally found that there’s a configuration glitch which was quite hard to spot. Appointments+ allows you to let service providers define their own GCalc integration. That’s a feature, not a bug. The option is enabled on your site. Although there’s only one service provider, it works fine except it turned out that for both “main” integration and service provider integration exactly the same configuration was set up: the same access keys and the very same calendar.

This feature is there because there may be many service providers and they may not have an access to the Google Calendar belonging to the site admin. They then can integrate their own calendar additionally and all appointments will go to the main calendar, plus – their appointments will go additionally to their calendars.

In this case, as this was the same calendar, plugin doubled everything (was sending appointment twice to the same calendar).

That said, being logged in to your dashboard I went to the “Edit profile” (being logged as “Dejana…” and switched the integration off. This should stop those multiplied inputs.

    Kind regards,

    Adam

    Hello

always a problem with the plugin … :slight_frown:

the calendar on the website still does not take into account the appointments that we make in Google calendar. It only shows the appointments booked through the website.

Have you fixed this? if not can you please do it.

if yes why is it going back to the same?

Also, now when I book an appointment via website I need to do it 2x for it to appear in the Google calendar. Before this was ok. Can you please tell me what is going on?

    Many thanks

    Gilles

I’ve changed two more settings of your Appointments+ install and this should fix both issues I think. Since I’ve previously removed the GCal integration for service provider leaving only the “main” integration, I now have switched off also the option allowing service providers to add their own integration. Also, I’ve changed the “Appointments will be sent to Google Calendar for” option to “All” so the plugin would not skip any booking.

I lost data on Google calendar ( my last two weeks in fact ) You have an idea of ??where this problem may be ?

I’ve previously asked you for access to your Google Calendar (which you’ve provided me with) but as you already know I’ve never visited it, so I’m not sure what was its settings. Furthermore, I’ve never encountered such an issue neither on members’ sites nor on my own test setup. That said, have you made any changes to the site and/or Google Calendar since my last actions?

Also, are you able to recall the when did it happen (e.g. were there any plugin updates around)? Any information related to this issue would help.

    Please advise!

    Thank you,

    Adam
