Ultimate Facebook does not post from BP Activity feed

Hey. My Ultimate Facebook does not post to my pages or profile on Facebook from my BuddyPress Activity feed.

Are my settings incorrect?

I’d like to post to FB from the Activity feed. I get the checkbox, but nothing happens when I post on the FB.

    Everything is working fine on my sandbox site. I was able to share buddypress activity of member to my facebook wall. I’ve attached screenshot so that you can confirm sharing is working fine on my side.

    Make sure you have allowed like button to be displayed for buddypress activity, you can do this via Facebook > Facebook Like/send button > Allow “Like” button for BuddyPress Activities . Make it checked. :slight_smile:

    If all settings are correct Could you please confirm that share button is working fine for posts or not ? If it is also not working for posts too then there must be some api credentials settings problem with plugin.

    If doing all the things your problem remains Would you please grant me support staff access so that I can check in depth regarding your issue ?. You can grant me support access via WPMU DEV > Support > Support Access > Grant Access. I am asking you to grant me support staff access again because right now I can’t get myself logged in to your domain due to some problem. :slight_smile:

    I’ve checked settings of Ultimate facebook on your site, it seems fine to me. Only one issue I got was you forgot to activate ultimate facebook plugin for sub-site which were rendering activities to user. I’ve activated Ultimate Facebook on site which were rendering activities to user. Now everything is working fine, you can confirm now. :slight_smile:

    Please keep in mind that you need to activate plugin on every sub site where you want to use it even if you’ve activated network wide. You can activate plugin for sub site from Plugins > Ultimate Facebook > Hover over link and press Active

    Okay. I do some research and still confused. Is expalin.

    There is the main site –> http://www.intothemythica.com/activity/

    which I would like to post to facebook from. meaning, my activity feed stuff. not only MY user, but all the users who are logged in should be able to post to their own feed.

    Then there is my own site –> http://www.peterfae.intothemythica.com which posts to Facebook.

    Originally, I had 2 apps. One called ‘Myth of Peter Fae’ that posted from my site as me; and ‘Into the Mythica’ which posted from Mythica site (assuming me). I just switched the ‘Peter Fae (http://www.peterfae.intothemythica.com) site over to the intothemythica app.

    Still doesn’t work. What is the issue? Why no Facebook post from Buddypress activity feed for me-as-user?

    Hello @Griffin,

    It seems like you forgot to enable auto posting for frontend. Would you please navigate to Facebook > Settings > Autopost to Facebook and check checkboxes which saying,

    1) Allow auto-posting new posts to Facebook

    2) Allow frontend autoposting to Facebook

    And then save changes. Finally try to post activity and check that is it posting to your wall or not. ?
