Site is gogreenglencoe.org. I’m using Genesis framework with Patricia child theme and Genesis extender plugin. When I try to create a newsletter, I get this:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function genesis_register_sidebar() in /home/gogreeng/public_html/wp-content/uploads/genesis-extender/plugin/custom-functions.php on line 5

    Hello Kevin,

I hope you’re well today and thank you for your question!

By “Patricia child theme” do you mean “Genesis child theme named Patricia” or a child theme of a Patricia theme that you created? Please clarify it for me.

I’d also like to take a closer look at your setup so would you please grant me a support access to it using our WPMU DEV Dashboard plugin? Here’s a guide on how to do this:

    Best regards,

    Adam

    Hi Kevin,

I had a look at your site and also performed some tests on my end with the similar setup.

The issue doesn’t seem related to your child theme but to Genesis Extender you are using, this plugin apparently interacts with the WP customizer which E-Newsletter uses and in my case it doesn’t show fatal error but it Genesis Extender deactivates itself.

Also the file your error is pointing to is empty in my installation so I’m guessing it’s something added later by you or the plugin itself.

I would suggest getting in touch with Genesis Extender plugin developers to have a closer look at this for you as they should know what’s missing in the file if the code was added by the plugin itself.

Let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,

    Predrag
