    Hi Nick,

Hope you are doing good today!

Thanks for granting support staff access. I tried to publish a new post from your website but it did not get posted. So something is definitely wrong, but what stumbles me for a bit that there is at-least one post published on Facebook 10 hours ago (see screenshot).

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

So that must be you who published it on Facebook. Can you please share how did you managed to published it once ? Did you used different app or app settings for this and changed afterwards ?

Take care and have a nice day

    Best Regards,

    Sajid

The strange things with this continue …. there are people that have, indeed, logged in with FB. I have attached a ScreenShot from the user list on my Dashboard and they are the ones with the avatar icons. I checked the FB and these are their FB avatar pictures (see attached pic.)

Furthermore, the post that you have spotted did not, eventually, appear on their FB page wall (https://www.facebook.com/EternalwebRadio/)

The only post you see there is the one that appeared after I used the FB comments – that seem to work OK ….

Please provide assistance since these are live sites (I am sure that you are aware of what is happening in the other support thread too ….)

    Hi Nick,

Hope you are doing good today!

So you are not sure who authenticated the app and actually posted the post on Facebook. I can see that there are lots of support persons involved in this thread who have actually tried to publish posts on Facebook.

I can see that my colleague have escalated the ticket to next level where one of our Developer will take a closer look and further troubleshoot your issue.

So, please lets wait for his response to see if he finds something helpful.

Take care and have a nice day

    Best Regards,

    Sajid

    Hello All

Since it has been two days since you started a level 2 support ticket with the devs, is there any estimate about when I expect this to be resolved?

Let me kindly remind you that both sites in the issue are in production and both owners are having urgent business issues with their FB communication.

    Thanks in advance

    Nick.

P.S. Support access for eternity radio active until tomorrow noon, For the agsdiomedes site is still active for another 2 days. Anything I should do there?

    Hello Nick ,

I hope you are doing well today!

I've tested the Ultimate Facebook on your site and it is posting fine. And it did shared a post on the Facebook page

Please make sure, after you create a post, scroll down to Facebook Publishing section and select "I want to Publish the post to Facebook.

If you wish all your post to be published automatically, please navigate to Facebook > Facebook Settings > Autopost to Facebook section, and make sure that you have set up all the settings correctly at :

Map WordPress types to Facebook locations

    Please see the screenshot:

Regarding the Login issue you have, please let me know the Facebook app version you are using.

You can see the version here

    Update on the above.

My second install: http://www.infonautics.info/agsdiomedes with the exact same install of the plugin does not work !!!

    Same FB API ver. 2.7.

Plus: in the eternal radio that works I check the “use short link” button and there is no difference whatsoever

P.S. As you might have noticed above (and to other ticket, also mentioned above) both installs are FWDed to the second level support (devs). Of course, if your help is adds to this is more than welcome!

    Hi Nick,

    Hope you are doing good!

Is it subsite of WordPress MultiSites or another standalone site ? Also, you are using same Facebook Application for this site or created a different one ?

Since both are on same domain, so you can use the same APP for both sites. Also, one more question, did you tried the option mentioned by Nastia above ?

Please enable support staff access for your other site too so we can take a closer look. To grant access go to WPMU DEV -> Support -> Support Access -> Grant Access or see this manual.

Take care and have a nice day

    Best Regards,

    Hello Sajid

Hope you are doing good too!

    a)

Both sites are standalone sites (no multisite) and target to URLs of the same domain:

    ags diomedes: http://www.infonautics.info/agsdiomedes

    eternal: http://www.infonautics.info/eternalradio

This is evident on both of my tickets as you can clearly see above

This happens on a go-daddy hosting service that allows this. There are plenty of other sites hosted with the same way and there has been no problem with them so far. Just these two that have the Ultimate Facebook Plugin installed.

Using the same app is not a solution since each app is connected with their own Facebook page. Each Facebook page belongs to a separate customer that want to post their posts on FB on their pages (that are connected to the apps).

    b)

I did exactly what Nastia suggested and worked fine on the eternal install. I did the same on the ags diomedes site and it did not work

    c)

Access active for ags diomedes for extra 5 days (extended now) and on the eternal 2 more days (made the extension yesterady or the day before).

Also: people from the other ticket tell me that the devs are looking into it and that my ticket has market urgent – just to let you know.

I do hope that all people looking at my both tickets, first or second level support, for almost a week now (for both tickets), understand that these are live sites we are talking about with owners the run their businesses trying to connect what they offer on their sites with the social activity on FB. After so may days it is needless to say that I have no hope getting any new customers from these two……

    Thank you

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

Hope you are doing good (beside all these issues).

As you already know that its been escalated and our developer will take a look at his earliest. Thanks for additional information about the issue, I will pass it over to developer that will help troubleshoot this issue.

    Hello all.

A few short and quite serious questions:

    1)

There has been 8 days now since this ticket is open. I understand that no-one from WPMUDEV has never mentioned anything about 24h or 48h or 72 h support but 8 days ticket on a production site with no resolution seems a bit late, don’t you think?

I am literally asking this, maybe it is me, but I (and the community) should know, in general terms, what “second level” or “dev” support really means. No problems from the first level support people – I know they did all they could. So I am asking this to a developer – this question is not for level 1 support staff.

    2)

Don’t bother answering question 1) if there is not a general understanding about when this ticket will be resolved.

    3)

This is the most serious one:

In the forthcoming projects, 3 deals this week already with, additionally, 2 new platforms within the month: The question is this: Am I to use the Ultimate Facebook plugin? Please take your time answering this one – actually this is the only one I would be happy to know for sure (hint: “let’s try and see” is not an answer)

Please try to understand that I am loosing time, clients and money on top of the reputation of my company which is trying to make a living building on WPMUDEV plugins.

A quick answer will be much appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Nick

Hello Nick , I trust you are doing well!

I see you have several issues in two threads, to avoid any confusions please post a new thread for each issue or question. This way all the issues will be resolved much faster.

    For the http://www.infonautics.info/agsdiomedes site

I tested the plugin and I was able to log in and leave a comment inside a post:

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

You mentioned that the login is not working: “But no login, no FB posts”. I logged in from the wp-admin page successfully using Facebook Login.

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

I feel like I have misunderstood the issue here, would you please clarify it?

Do you mean if the user will choose not to log in the Facebook comment will not be posted?

Or you wish to share posts on Facebook? In that case, the Autopost to Facebook is not enabled on your site. To enable it, go to Facebook > Facebook Settings > Autopost to Facebook section, and check the option “Allow autoposting new posts to Facebook”

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

In the Facebook > Error log I see the following message “Token not found” for two users: atzekakis and agsdiomedes (I have marked this thread as internal, so no one except staff and you, can see your personal data).

    Please clarify the following:

    – Wich user has authorized the Facebook Application?

    – What the App Domains you have inserted in Facebook App settings. Go to Facebook APP > Settings > Basic

[attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

Also if you have issue with login, please try the following settings:

In Facebook > Facebook Settings > Permissions & Tokens check “Use minimal possible permission set”, save changes and re-grant the extended permissions again.

Test the login, in Incognito browser and clear the browser from cache & cookies.

    Please advise,

    Cheers,

    Nastia

    Hello Nastia

By reading carefully all my comments:

    on this ticket

    and the other one:

    https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/facebook-login-and-fb-posts-not-working?replies=9#post-1144120

you will find out that I have tried everything you said time and time again.

Anyway – just to make sure I tried all of your suggestions again with no results. Mind you that, among other things, I have people all over the world (Facebook friends) that cannot login via Facebook on both of my sites.

What makes matters more weird is that I tried the private browsing thing you suggested (after clearing cash) only to find out that on the login screen the “Facebook login” message appears but with no button …!!!….

This is the screencast of the issue: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BzG5hZRbs1TdNU1JelJ2ZmtKdFU

Please note: In my previous reply I have kindly asked for ETA of the second level support (the devs) that was mentioned by 1st level support staff several times in both of my tickets. People have been even telling me that my issues have ben marked as “urgent”.

Hanging in here with no response on the ETA is kind of disappointing really.

It gives me the impression that there is a very active first level support from you and a very inactive and “mysterious” second level one by the devs.

I am a dev myself (not php unfortunately) for the last 20 years or so which means that I can understand and be patient waiting for second level support.

Also, I am a paying customer and after so many days of an un-resolved issue in both tickets I have the right (at least) to kindly ask for a rough estimate of the second level support.

On the company site there is a mention of 400K+ subscribers. This simply tells me that, at least, the company has sufficient dev resources to look deeper into the issue in one of their most important plugins.

Thank you for creating this screencast. It helps a lot to debug this issue.

I can replicate the same using Firefox in Incognito mode, the Facebook login button is not visible. I searched a little more and found out that Firefox Incognito is blocking all social buttons. Source

I could log in with Chrome Incognito browser, though (screencast). Would you please try to login with Chrome from your end to make sure it’s working.

I can assure you that developer looking at this issue at this current time. But since it’s difficult to replicate the issue from our end, it’s really hard to troubleshoot it.

So we are trying to figure out what is going on from your end.

Please make sure that you do not have any popup extension in your browser enabled, like Add block, because based on one screencast you uploaded to another thread I see that Facebook popup that asks for permissions didn’t show up.

Please try the Chrome browser and let us know.

    Cheers,

    Nastia
