[Jobs & Experts] Problem populating demo data

Hi Support,

I’m having the same problem as the ones described in:

1. https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/problems-with-experts-and-jobs-demo-data#post-1043381

and:

2. https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/problem-populating-jobs-and-experts-in-demo-data

I have checked that my Jobs & Experts plugin version is 1.0.2.3 as mentioned in post #1.

I have also verified that the “If you want these demo jobs to have sample files, check this box.” checkbox was unchecked before I click Submit in the “Create dummy data for jobs” form, as recommended in post #2.

I have also tried to deactivate all other plugins and to switch to a default theme.

…I still cannot see any job in the Manage jobs section, despite Job categories and Job skill tags have been created correctly.

    Hello Mikael,

    I tested that and it doesn’t work in the latest version, but works with version uploaded here https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/problems-with-experts-and-jobs-demo-data#post-1047325 (so RC version).

    Please install RC version and follow this instruction https://wpmudev.com/forums/topic/problem-populating-jobs-and-experts-in-demo-data#post-1132515 it should import dummy data (it worked on my test site).

    I’m reporting developer that patch was not added in last version.

    Ok, it just worked well, thank you! (…seems that your dev team had a tough time with that plugin!)

    As I now have version 1.0.2.2-beta installed, I suppose I should not update to 1.0.2.3 but wait for the next version (1.0.2.4?) that will include the patch in 1.0.2.2-beta…correct?

    I also have a little question about this plugin, if you don’t mind :

    I noticed that, when listed, each job is displayed with a different color (topside of the div with a class like “jbp_job_except jbp-amber” for yellow) but I can’t find any place in the admin where these colors can be changed…should I change them with custom css? Also are these colors displayed randomly (as no relationship seems to exist between them and skill tags or categories…:wink:?

    Yes, since the patch wasn’t updated in the latest version, I’m afraid you’ll have to make use of the beta version, unless a new version greater than 1.0.2.3 is released.

    Yes, you are right these colors are generated randomly on page refresh. I’m afraid, there isn’t any out of the box settings available in the plugin, you’ll have to make use of custom CSS in order to achieve this. Please try the following CSS, and check whether it works.

    .jbp_job_except {
    
border-top: 4px solid red;
    
}

    You can add the above CSS code, using Custom CSS box(if your theme offers), or either using a Child theme, or a plugin like Simple Custom CSS.
