My Snapshots set up to run weekly are not running.

I’ve noticed on a number of my websites that the auto backup isn’t running. I have on occasion regenerated the backups to grab a manual here and there. In this one backup is set as weekly in Amazon and last weekly backup was done on August 11, 2017. After that nothing.

    Just a quick note. The website in question was a migration from a beta/staging site. I don’t know if this had anything to do with it, but I refreshed the Snapshot to see if that will kick the cron back into gear.

    I am still looking forward to hearing from you guys though.

    Thanks!

    Hello mediastead,

    It seems that Managed backups on site in questions are not activated again and right now there is only one log in Snapshots log from manual backup done during chat session.

    Can you activate Snapshots again and set it to daily (so we can have bigger and quicker sample of backups to check)? Let us know when it’s done.

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    Kasia,

    This inquiry isn’t about managed backups. I have a Snapshot created to run and upload to Amazon S3 once a week. Apart from the manual backups, this snapshot hasn’t run for a long time.

    Also, when you click into a snapshot to view its information, the options menu on the right (with the 3 dots) can’t be clicked on because the table to the left is on top of it. You guys need a z-index on this menu so the links can be clicked.

    .wps-menu.open .wps-menu-holder {
    z-index: 999;
    }

    Thanks!

    Hello,

    I just checked one of my other sites, and their weekly backup is also mot working.

    Here is what I think might be happening, and I was hoping you could test this on your side …

    I think that when a Snapshot is created, the cron jobs run, and the automated backups occur. After that, if a backup is run manually, I feel like the auto backups are stopped, and do not continue running.

    The reason I think this is happening is because on every website where I have run a manual backup by regenerating the Snapshot, they do not continue to run the backups during their regularly scheduled days and times.

    Please advise.

    Thanks!

    Hello mediastead,

    I’m sorry for my mistake with managed backups :slight_frown:

    The reason I think this is happening is because on every website where I have run a manual backup by regenerating the Snapshot, they do not continue to run the backups during their regularly scheduled days and times.

    What happens when you create new backup and set it’s schedule and not regenerate it? Are those backups running correctly?

    I have setup test on my site to check if I can replicate issue, but it will take sometime to get conclusive results.

    Can you again enable support access to site where issue occurs?

    kind regards,

    Kasia

    I went into another one of my sites where the weekly backup wasn’t running, and I added 2 new snapshots for daily backup. One of them, I manually regenerated, and the other I did not. They both ran automatically.

    I know that Snapshot recently had some version updates. I don’t know if this is a possibility, but maybe snapshots I had in place before those updates were affected.

    I think I might just go through all of my client sites, and create new Snapshots, and keep an eye on them.

    Hello mediastead,

    I’m sorry for late response – I also setup tests on my sites and I wasn’t able to replicate issue.

    On two separate sites after creating snapshots and then regenerating them they still continued to do a daily snapshots.

    Do you remember if that started happening with last update and if you had it on previous version ot that was update of few numbers up at once?

    kind regards,

    Kasia
