[Popup Pro – installed from GitHub] Popup Pro reinstallation crashed WordPress

Was having problems w/ Popup Pro 4.8.1 — it was timing out when trying to preview. Not sure when this started. Installed & tried Hustle for 4 hrs but restyling all the css was taking too long. Deactivated all plugins except Popup Pro and Caldera Forms (popup has the form in it). Changed theme to 2019. Still didn't work. Deleted Popup Pro 4.8.1, found that Popup Pro is no longer on WPMU DEV so installed from Git Hub site – no 4.8.1 but 4.8.0 was there.

On activation of 4.8.0 the site crashed.

Receive email from my hosting company:

Would appreciate some guidance as how to fix this. As mentioned, I spent 4 hrs on Hustle but don't have time to spend more styling the css, when everything had been working. I'd like to get Popup Pro working again but don't know where to go from here.

Thank you for any pointers in the right direction. Popup Pro has been working fine on one of my other sites.

    Hi djohns,

    Seems like the issue is due to some missing Lib files. I’m attaching the version 4.8.1 in here, please use that instead of the one from Github. I’ll be reporting this to our team to make sure the version is updated to the latest version.

    You’ll have to remove the existing popup plugin folder, by going to /wp-content/plugins folder via FTP, so that you could install the latest version. Sorry for any inconvenience due to this.

    However, please do note that in the long run, it would be better to switch to Hustle Pro, so that the Popups works fine down the road. Please open a new chat with us, if you need any further assistance regarding switching to Hustle Pro.
