SCA and Stripe – new requirements in September 2019

We use your membership Pro plugin and Stripe has advised that they will introduce Strong Customer Authentication – is the plugin compatible with SCA? And what do we need to do to to comply?

    Hello there Steve

    Membership 2 Pro isn’t compatible with the upcoming Stripe changes. Our developers are considering if they are going to push updates about this, even though Membership 2 is now a legacy and not-supported plugin.

    We’ll keep you posted here as soon as there’s any development on this.

    I don’t know if other Payment gateways are also following this new way (I assume they are or will have to at some point) and so that makes the plugin unusable.

    This is inconvenient as our clients expect a plugin to work in the future without having to find alternatives.
