Settings in smartcrawl Title & Meta are not saving. Turned off caching all around and put cloudflare into development mode.

    Hi John ,

    Please do note that you are currently on a Smush One site plan, ie “Hobbyist” plan. We only provide support for Smush Pro plugin on this plan. However, you can also install all our WPMU DEV plugins via the WPMU DEV Dashboard without any issue but for getting full support for other plugins you should have a Full membership.

    As a support exception, we could check regarding what exact issue you are facing with SmartCrawl.

    Could you please explain further about the issue noticed? I Could notice the Title & Meta description configured under SmartCrawl > Title & Meta > Homepage does reflect in the homepage.

    However, I could notice there are two Meta Descriptions one is part of SmartCrawl and another is added by any of the existing plugin or part of the theme.

    I’m not able to find the source regarding that. Could I know hows the homepage configured? Are you using a custom template? Maybe that would give a better idea regarding this.

    If you aren’t sure regarding any such configuration. I’m afraid, you’ll have to run a plugin conflict as mentioned in the following flow chart to rule out which exact plugin is causing it.

    Would 1st recommend switching temporarily to default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty to see whether meta description gets removed and only the Meta Description form SmartCrawl stays. IF that’s the case, then the duplicate meta description would be added within the theme side.

    However, please note if you are looking for further support for SmartCrawl Pro plugin and it’s any other settings, you should consider upgrading your membership to the full plan that includes all of our services and support for all WordPress related queries.
