Add "Expire Date" for manually added Memberships

0

We should be able to set the Expiration date of Manually Added Members in Membership.

I know that we can manually hack this up – but this would be a good feature. Many groups have people that send checks by mail vs paypal, so this would be handy.

    hiya

    thanks for posting.

unfortunately this is currently possible via the membership plugin itself, it is on the features list though so hopefully will be added in a not too distant release.

in the meantime this can be achieved by editing the DB using phpmyadmin.

    and editing the wp_m_membership_relationships table.

you’ll need the users user_id, then just scan the table for that user_id and then change the date.

    hope this helps.

    thanks.

Which of course is impractical at best. Thank you for the explanation though.

Without this function the plugin becomes sort of a lame duck.

Could anyone weigh in on if this will be added soon or if I should just find a different plugin?

This is a pretty simple post field essentially for this plugin if someone knows the code.

If I promised to renew my WPMUDEV membership, could you guys please do it

Elsewise ill have to spend a few hundred on this only to have it patched out later.

It’s actually quite complex, which is why it isn’t in there yet  Whilst it would be simple for manual payments, or single payments we also need to make sure the same functionality works for subscriptions on all gateways.

We need to ensure that external payment schedules keep in sync with the level expiry dates held within the plugin – so any changes to an expiry date will also need to update the PayPal, 2co, authorize.net payment schedules so that the site access membership dates and the payment dates match.

But I would only let it exist for manual Payments. Since it would be simple and let it be done.

Or if someone breaks the dates for paypal because theyre not paying attention, let darwinism help.

As it is, I cant use this plugin because it cant really track manual payments. Which all my fishing / snowmobile / etc groups use.

I really like the plugin, and wpmudev team, and am trying desperately to avoid having to buy a new plugin.

I really enjoy how I can make granular levels, etc.Its a great plugin. Please dont make me buy someone elses crap!
