Blog Template plugin not copying widgets

Hi, looks like we may have found a bug in the new blog templates plugin. When we copy a blog, the widgets are not copied and everywhere in the template that widgets are supposed to appear, we’re getting the following error instead, once we add a single widget, even a blank text widget, the errors disappear, but then we’re left with a blog that doesn’t have the widget settings that were supposed to be copied from the parent / source blog:

Warning: array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, boolean given in /home/leadpre2/public_html/wp-includes/widgets.php on line 858

Ulrich: this is a new test install, so this is pulling from the parent blog …. I found the other post about this, thanks Mike.

I can think of lots of scenarios where we would need to use main blog as template, but if the issue isn’t going to be fixed, it might be a good idea to have documentation for it? Better yet, why not enable the main blog to be copied.? Might be less painful than answering this error question over and over.

Also, a great sister plugin to this would be a site extraction tool, where you could get an export file of a single blog’s settings that could then be imported on another blog ….
