[Branda] SMTP Test Email not being sent

I’m having an issue setting up SMTP using Branda. I have entered all the information provided by my SMTP provider, but when I send the test emails, it says – “Failed to send the test email. Please check your SMTP credentials and try again”. Please advice.

    Hello Austyn,

    how are you doing today?

I did try to replicate the issue on one of my test websites, but all email under SMTP are working as they should.

Please check your SMTP credentials once with your host again. It seems host is rejecting the connection due to wrong credentials.

If you are using your email host same as your web host that means you can access your email via webmail. Not all but most of the host do provide webmail access at yourdomain.com/webmail. If you have access to the webmail you can directly check your email address credential over there, if you were able to login with the same credentials over there then please send those credentials along with your SMTP settings to us via a secure form.

Can you please send me a message with access credentials through our secure contact form here: https://wpmudev.com/contact/#i-have-a-different-question

      Hi Neel,

I actually don’t use the same host for email and for web hosting. I believe I’m using an A record to host my website on Siteground. My domain and email are hosted through Register.com. Does this change things?

Let me know and I can send over whatever you need.

      Thanks!

      Austyn

    Hello Austyn,

    how are you doing today?

My domain and email are hosted through Register.com. Does this change things?

Yes, We need to make changes in STMP according to register.com. SMTP settings which you gave in chat are similar to what regsiter.com has provided in the help desk.

But can you still once again confirm the SMTP settings via customer support of register.com if possible?

Yes, I need a few things.

Can you please send me a message with access credentials through our secure contact form here: https://wpmudev.com/contact/#i-have-a-different-question
