Caching? Hummingbird not working

Good morning,

I'm having trouble getting my website to run faster (that's really the only reason I signed up for this package). I'm very novice when it comes to blogging and websites and wordpress… so even when I read about what might be wrong I can't understand what to do.

I receive an error message. [attachments are only viewable by logged-in members]

    Hey Angela,

Hope you’re doing well today

Hummingbird browser caching requires expire module active in order to work, as the message says, this is something that you can ask your hosting provider to check and enable it for you if it’s disabled.

If it still shows that message after expire module is enabled you should perform a plugin conflict test by disabling your other plugins and see if it works after that.

Let us know how it goes

    Best regards,

    Predrag

HI! Thanks for this feedback. My web host came back to me and said that I have Windows hosting…

“Thank you for your reply. From the information provided, we believe Hummingbird is referring to mod_expire, which is an Linux-specific feature. This feature us not available in Windows hosting.”

Is there an equivalent module that needs to be enabled for Windows hosting?

    Hi Angela,

Thanks for getting back with more info about this, I have talked with our developers about this and we will need to perform some tests on Windows servers and see what would be the best solution here.

In order to best test this can you tell which hosting you are using and your server specifications, you can get this from your provider.

    Best regards,
