Checkout, Tax issue

Hello again!

Thanks for the earlier help.

Now I’m looking at the end checkout process.

Can someone point me in the right direction for tutorials or manuals on these topics?

1. How to break out state by state taxation for a product. Does the Marketpress system know what is an in state sale and out of state sale? For example, the seller’s base zipcode is in New Mexico. If someone buys from out of state, how is that handled? How to adjust if not?

2. If someone orders two products, and there is a shipping fee attached to each product, does the system add those together, or does it (correctly) apply ONE shipping charge to a multiple purchase that will be in one shipment?

THANK YOU! Barbara

    Greetings Barbara Davis,

Thank you for the great questions, they are certainly appreciated.

Market Press knows because of the setting of the location at Location Settings, logged into the site admin dashboard go to –> Products –> Store Settings –> Location Settings which includes zip code.

This depends on the shipping option chosen and the shipping cost should be combined together, or are you indicating that shipping two TV’s costs the same as shipping one?
